It's important Pret's sandwiches and salads taste better than everybody else's. To achieve this, Pret builds a beautiful sandwich kitchen in every Pret. They get vans every night* to drop off our good, natural ingredients. And the chefs get cracking early in the morning.
Pret doesn't like big food factory/depot/processing places - they make their stuff fresh so they can sell it fresh. They'd rather offer sandwiches to charity than keep them to sell the next day. Because they make in-house and sell out the same day, you won't find "shelf-life" dates on the salads and sandwiches.
